   The International Training and Consulting Institute

The ITCI is a unit of the International Youth Foundation that provides technical assistance and training worldwide to help NGOs diversify their revenue streams and sustain themselves.   

   Innovation Network

Innovation Network is a nonprofit organization working to share planning and evaluation tools and know-how. They provide consulting, training, and online tools for nonprofits and funders. Their mission is to improve nonprofit results by building evaluation capacity. Working with nonprofit organizations and funders through evaluation consulting, training, Web-based tools, and outreach, we seek to increase evaluation and planning knowledge and skills for the entire nonprofit and philanthropic field, and to build the ability of individual nonprofits to meet their missions.  

   The Foundation Center

The FC’s Website contains a broad array of fundraising information, including donor directories, an online librarian to answer questions, proposal writing guides, valuable tips on fundraising, downloadable common grant applications forms from specific donors, training and seminar directories, and a guide to libraries housing the FC's directories. You can also subscribe to their weekly email newsletter entitled “Philanthropy News Digest.”  

   Global Civil Society at a Glance

Global Civil Society at a Glance is a comparative study by John Hopkins University on the private non profit sector - the main findings of around the world. Of particular interest is the fact that fundraising from individuals, foundations and corporations is highest in Central Europe than anywhere else, relative to government funding and revenues from fees charged.

   Fundraising Ideas That Work for Grassroots Groups by Ken Wyman

A free on-line book on general fundraising, made available by the Canadian government. In the book one can find good ideas for fundraising and on how to avoid major errors; suggestions for sources of help on most topics; techniques that have been outlined with grassroots and disabled persons' self-help groups in mind etc.  

   Partners for Democratic Change

Partners for Democratic Change is an international organization committed to building sustainable local capacity to advance civil society and a culture of change and conflict management worldwide. Partners' Centers for Change & Conflict Management are independent and locally staffed, managed and registered organizations in developing democracies committed to advancing civil society and a culture of change and conflict management. By adapting and acculturating Partners' skills and processes and developing unique specializations, the Centers meet the diverse and specific needs of their constituencies in Albania, Argentina, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Georgia, Hungary, Jordan, Kosovo, Lithuania, Mexico, Poland, Romania and Slovakia. The site provides a range of resources relating to Partners’ work and the general field of change and conflict management.  

   Balkan Civil Society Development Network

Balkan Civil Society Development Network is a network of 12 civil society and ecumenical organizations from 7 countries and territories in South East Europe (Albania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia, Romania, Serbia and Montenegro and Kosovo), committed to sustainable peace and stability, prosperity, harmony of so­ci­e­­ties in the Balkan region. BCSDN mission is to strengthen civil society through developing indigenous civil society concepts, practices and empowering civil society actors. The site contains descriptions of events, history, partner organizations, training courses as well as publications, resources, photos, links and other useful information.
